Talking Books

Due to my troubles with fatigue, I don’t read much.  But still I’m working my way through Dicken’s works.  I download a text file of a book for free and my computer reads it to my tape deck.  I put a tape on when I nap, so I hear about 10-20 minutes a day (when I do it) which is close to one chapter a time.  I just finished Bleak House.  It took me over a year!  Now I’m starting Martin Chuzzlewit.  It also blocks out the noise in the house and keeps my mind from being too busy to sleep.  I usually nap for about an hour after work.  I wish I didn’t have to.  It’s such a waste of time and it takes me away from the kids.  But at least I’m getting some Dickens read.
